Packaging that is Eco-Friendly or Sustainable. What’s the difference?
When you hear the term eco-friendly or sustainable packaging, do they have the same meaning to you? When packaging transitions to eco-friendliness, it typically means cutting down on plastics or reducing the energy and waste involved during production and transport.
Sustainable packaging takes it to another level by addressing the long-term impacts before and after the goods are safely delivered. Simply, that whatever is being produced can continue indefinitely without unnecessarily damaging the environment, exploiting workers and their communities, or needlessly creating or wasting resources.
At YFY Jupiter, we consider packaging to be one of the most influential mediums to move our business sector beyond eco-friendliness to sustainable consciousness.
